Richard Jordan

Jordan is examining the internal wreckage on the refloated RMS Titanic in "Raise the Titanic", the 1979 film based on the best seller of Clive Cussler.  Now, of course, we know the Titanic would not be in any condition to be raised (as it broke apart). But Dr. Robert Ballard did not find it until 1985.
